What changed
- The monthly pay ceiling for CPF rose by $600 to $8,000. The yearly pay ceiling stays at $102,000.
- Contribution rates for employees above 55 to 65 went up by 1.5 percentage points: 34% in total for above 55 to 60, and 25% for above 60 to 65.
- For people turning 55 in 2026, the Full Retirement Sum is $220,400 and the Enhanced Retirement Sum is $440,800.
What it means for you
- If you earn more than $7,400 a month (the old ceiling), more of your pay is now covered by CPF, so you and your employer both pay more.
- Older workers keep more of their CPF in their own accounts, which helps their retirement savings but lowers take-home pay slightly.
