How this calculator works

Your State Pension age depends on when you were born. For people born from 6 October 1954 it rises in steps: 66, then a gradual rise from 66 to 67 for people born between 6 April 1960 and 5 March 1961, then 67 for people born from 6 March 1961 to 5 April 1977. For people born after that, current law sets 68.

We find your date of birth in that timetable, add the years and months, and show the date you reach it. Your exact date can differ by a day, so check the official GOV.UK tool before you make plans.

The government reviews State Pension age from time to time, so the age for younger people could change.
